April 14, 2017: Women and girls participating in the La Merced Church Good Friday morning procession carry an anda, or religious float, honoring Mary, Jesus' mother and the Holy Virgin of Sorrow over the remains of an alfombra. Because the women's parade follows the men's all of the alfombras have already been destroyed.
