April 16, 2017: A Mayan woman places flowers on an alfombra, or rug, made of sawdust, flowers, fruit and other items specifically to be destroyed by being walked over, outside San Pedro Church before the start of of the main Easter Sunday procession. Easter Sunday is the culmination of Semana Santa, or Holy Week, the day of the Resurrection.
